Wondfo hpt's - question

I just bought a bunch of these hpt tests - I have never used this brand before.

I testing this am and it looked like a 2nd line came up within the 5 minute window but I couldn't tell whether the line had any color to it - but there was definitly a line. Then I tested with another one and no line came up. THEN a few minutes later - the first line disappeared.

I also tried a digi and it was negative, but I know that they may be less sensitive.

I am going to test again tomorrow, but I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else or whether this type of test has a high rate of evap lines.

What on earth does this mean?

Thanks!

In my bag: Nikon D90; 35mm 1.8, 90mm 2.8 macro (my fave), Lensbaby Composer with macro extensions. BFP after 13 cycles and one ectopic. Lost left tube 5/19/10.

  • Another "maybe bfp"? Do you seriously need to do this every month?

  • Never heard of this brand. Honestly, I would stick with a brand I trust over stocking up on less reliable/new brands.

Exactly what I was thinking.  I hate this time of month, Nikki, you drive me crazy!

  • Buy a normal brand, then come back to first tri when you really have a positive result.

Stop pulling the "everybody look at meeee, I still can't figure out how to read a pee stick!".

Seriously.  I do not understand this.  Why is it so hard to read a pregnancy test?

FWIW none of my Wondfo tests have had lines disappear.  I can still see my BFPs very clearly, even the one from 11 dpo.

I  would trust the digital. I have gotten negatives on a few $tree ones but + on digital with the same urine. They are far more sensitive than they used to be.

I was waiting for you to call me out on it...

this is not a maybe - I think it is negative but these are new tests to me so i want to see if this is normal

    I know, I know - It's annoying, sorry...

But FWIW, I haven't asked in awhile because I haven't been trying since my m/c in May - so you have had about 5 months off from me asking.

  • I used Wondfos and never had that happen, but I have read that a disappearing positive is usually a negative result. And I agree with PP that said digis are more sensitive than they used to be. Chances are that if you had a valid bfp that a digi would pick it up.
