I have the Munchkin bottle warmer, its white and I got it from Target. I add the water like I'm supposed too and after I use it a few times, it gets some brown stuff on the bottom of it and I'm constantly cleaning it. I've used tap water and the distilled water that I use for DS's formula and I still get the same result. If anyone else has this product does yours do the same thing? If I get rid of mine, how can I warm the water in his bottle before I add the formula powder?
Re: I'm wondering if I have a bad bottle warmer
That's odd. Is the brown stuff on the inside or the outside of the bottle. I find I get little flecks of brown stuff on the outside (inderside) of the bottle from the warmer but it doens't concern me.
I use the microwave sometimes. I do 30 seconds for a 4 oz bottle (with lid off)and test it on my wrist each time. Seems to do the job.

If you have a crock pot, fill it with water and put it on warm.
Then drop the bottles in as needed, for about a minute.
