Uh oh...The "Aiden" thing...

We are naming our son Adrian, a name we both love...however we are just realizing just how popular Aiden is. In fact I can think of three moms off the top of my head whose toddlers are "Aiden" or "Drayden". Does Adrian just sound like a take off of this?

I think Adrian is different enough that there aren't any issues. I never even thought to associate it with Aiden at all. Too bad Aiden is getting to be so popular, the spelling of Aidan is a name I have been strongly considering if we ever have a boy...

I really like Adrian and think its something else entirely and not be mixed up with the -den names.

I don't think it's the same at all, so you're fine.  What I could see happening is somebody reading it quickly and saying Aiden instead of Adrian (people are dense like that), but that would probably be rare and only b/c there are so many Aidens!
