S/O: Baby shoes

We got Jackson a pair of softish soled Stride Rite shoes the other day.  He has a wide foot, so finding shoes for him is a bit tricky.

The shoes were $37, with a coupon, and those were the cheapest ones at the store! (It was a local shoe store).  Everything they were showing me were $50 and up.  I was completely blown away by the prices.

I am not cheap, but honestly, I can't believe I am going to have to spend this every few months.  Insanity!!!

I was actually just there over the weekend... the one by Great Adventure... and they didn't have anything in his size and width that I liked

Do you have to go to stride rite because of his wide feet?  Because I just found an adorable pair of soft soled shoes at walmart that were on clearance for $5.  I would never pay more than $20 for DS's shoes, but if your DS has wide feet, maybe there's no other option.

I found some adorable Stride Rite sequined tennis shoes at Marshalls this weekend for $15!  They were the only pair they had and in her size, I was pumped!

Payless also carries wide, and they will measure their foot for you. I've heard that Payless shoes are made by the same company that makes Stride Rite, but I'm not sure if that is true....

I only bought DD1's first pair of "real" shoes (after Pedipeds) at Stride Rite. I just can't justify spending that much when there are so many other options out there.
