TTC after 35

And just like that, cd35&14dpo ---> cd1

Oh well.  It's OK, this was really the month we were going to start trying, it would have just been a bonus.

Good news is, I think, that despite having a really late O-date (cd21), I still had a nice 13 day luteal phase, right?

  • Sorry about AF.  That is a nice LP though.

    Some other good news--you can enjoy an adult beverage with dinner tonight.Wink

  • Indeed.

    I'm sort of relieved that it wasn't last month, partly because we weren't going to start trying yet but my midwife was able to get me in earlier than we thought to take out my IUD and I happened to get a peak on the fertility monitor the night before the IUD came out.

    But at the same time, last month I (1) didn't cut out caffeine yet; (2) had a few adult beverages (onesies, not multiple in a night) because at that point it would only interfere with unlikely implantation anyway, not cause any FAS; (3) completely spaced starting to take my good food-based prenatal vitamins until a 7dpo.  So, really, now I can be fully prepared to go back on the wagon with the whole making my body a temple thing. :)

    Anyway, thanks!

  • I'm sorry AF showed, but it sounds like you are in a good place with it and you get extra time to prepare and start out on the best foot.

    BTW, What are your "good food based Prenatal Vitamins"?

    The idea is that they are derived from whole foods and not synthetic, lab-made vitamins.  There is certainly debate as to whether they really are that much better, and they are at least double the cost and it's 6 huge pills a day. But for me, I tend toward natural versus chemical as a matter of daily choices in everything I can, so I go with my gut and take the leap of faith that on some level, they are better for me and a potential child. Plus, there is little debate that they are easier on the digestive system.
