Does your toddler have leg hair? — The Bump
Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Does your toddler have leg hair?

I kept thinking L had scaly legs and putting lotion on. This morning I realized it was the beginnings of leg hair. She's only 14 months old. Is that normal already? Or is this the inner workings of those bad-as$$ growth hormones in our food supply? :)

Re: Does your toddler have leg hair?

  • Lol, no leg hair here.

  • We're talking duck fuzz here. Nothing Chewbacca worthy.

And for serious? My kid really IS growing mutant leg hair? I was fully expecting, "Oh heck yeah! Completely normal! Stop worrying you silly neurotic control freak!"

  • I don't think so. I haven't really noticed. He does have upper lip hair though. Peach fuzz but it's there.

  • Arm hair, leg hair, unibrow, she's got it all. Nice and blond (for now!), though!
  • Yep, she has a little bit of fuzz on her legs. It's kind of dark too. Uh oh!

  • oh yeah, we totally have leg hair, and arms and under arms! Nice little blonde fuzz just like his Mama. I would say its normal and not mutant at all! :)
  • Yep.  DD has arm hair and leg hair - little fuzz all over.  I noticed it for the first time a few weeks ago when the sun hit it in the car.

  • Yeah, she does.  It's really fair, but it's there.  I did the same thing you did:  I thought it was dry skin until I really looked at it.  And I know you were kidding about the growth hormones, but FTR DD eats mostly organic, especially dairy, so I guess she only has her parents to blame.
