Told DH's family today at BBQ ...

and they were soooo shocked!! we had planned to have DH tell them as we were taking pictures ... he would just take a few with "say cheese" and then hit the record button and say "say *my name*'s pregnant" ... needless to say, it didn't go according to plan ... when nervous my DH has a tendency to stutter and we couldn't find our camera in time so we used a friend's camera that he wasn't familiar with so he could only snap a pic ... it wasn't perfect but it was definitely memorable!! His parents cried ... one of his sister's had guessed we were at least trying and I think the other sister was just stunned ... all the kids (nieces and nephews) want us to have a girl and the two oldest nieces came up to me and asked if I could lie down so they could talk to it ...

It was just great to tell them and see that they were excited for us ... I was nervous that they would say this wasn't the right time to have a baby due to the economy and stuff but they were just soooo supportive and happy for us!!
