Meconium & cloth diapers

We bought some disposables today for when LO is first born-- I read somewhere that it stains horribly and could normally CD after that stage.

My question is how long will he have meconium bowel movements?

No need for disposables!  I CDd in the hospital and it was not an issue at all.  Some washed clean the first time, and one or two needed to be sunned, that was it.  After the sunning you couldn't tell they'd ever been used.

I loved CDing a newborn btw   So tiny and cute!

I used cloth from the start too and my diapers didn't stain. I can't remember exactly how long, but I'm thinking he only had the meconium for a couple of days.

EBF stained worse than the mec.

 

Plus, both sun out so they aren't permanent stains.

 

Don't worry about it.
