We both feed breastmilk and formula, both in a bottle
Breastmilk - Any tips for quickly and easily getting this through security?
Formula - Water? Obviously we'll have to get water on the other side of security. LO won't drink a cold or even room temp bottle. I imagine we'll buy bottled water, but how to get it heated?
Baby food. LO has never had commercial jarred food and still eats a lot of purees. Anyone successfully travel with homemade food?
TIA!

Re: More travel related questions
I flew with DS internationally (Canada to Hawaii) when he was 4 months old.
I had both breastmilk and formula as well and didn't have a problem with either. For the bm I just told them what it was and they put it right through (didn't test it or anything). I was buying bottled water after security, but then was told by one of the security people I'd be fine taking water for formula through. On the flight I had a large plastic cup that I had an attendant fill half way with hot water (for tea), then I put the bottle in to warm it up. They were very accommodating (they also offered to microwave it but I declined). I did the same thing during a layover - I just went to a coffee stand and asked them to fill the cup with hot water.
DS wasn't on solids at the time so I'm no help there.
Just flew internationally with DS. We brought jar foods so we know that we would be able to feed him something, no matter where we were. They made us open all the jars and taste them in front of them.
I BF so no problems there.
Really? That hasn't happened to us. I wonder if it's because that was an international flight. We flew from CA to TX and all I had to do was announce the jars to security and they do a test that doesn't require opening it.
OP, we normally stick to homemade as well but jarred food is way better for traveling. No refrigerating needed and second-guessing whether or not it's still ok. We buy Earth's Best organics and it's always worked out for us.
And just to add prior to flying we gave DD a couple jars so she got used to the way jarred food tastes.
When we flew back to LA to Sydney a month or so ago, we didn't have to open baby food. They did, however, have to put every single jar into this machine that could measure 'the threat level'. I asked them if they did that for every jar of baby food that came through there every day and they said yes.
We only BF, so I don't have advice for getting that through, but I do know that the family next to us formula fed and just asked the crew members to bring them heated bottles of water every time they needed to feed the baby.
