HSV/Madison ladies

This is going to seem like a strange question but do any of ya'll know how strict the school zoning is in Madison City? 

I know in Decatur where you are zoned for is where you have to go.  But on the other side of the spectrum in Lauderdale County they are zoned for a school in the county but they can go to any school in that county.  

I am pretty sure Madison is probably just like Decatur in that you go to the school you are zoned for, but I thought I'd ask.

You have to go where you are zoned.  I have actually seen parents try to put a grandparents address so their child could go to a better school and get caught.  The child was moved within days.  They have to do that in Madison City and Madison County because the numbers are so high anyways.

I figured this was the reason, because those two school systems are so huge.  Thanks

You can only cross lines to another school IF it's a special ed or race thing I believe. I know there is a much better way to word that, but I'm brain dead right now.

 

I know you can't jump from city to county or from HSV city to Madison city. I tried that

ETA: You can only cross lines within the city or county if you are approved to do so. I should have clarified that. You can't go from city to county or the other way.
