Sitting up in the crib ???

DS has recently learned how to sit up on his own.  And now he's figured out that he can do it in the crib.  So I lay him down for a nap, and he sits himself up and cries.  I don't know what I'm supposed to do!  Let him cry til he falls asleep and falls back down?  He doesn't know how to lay himself back down - the only way he goes from sitting to belly is falling down during his unsuccessful attempts to crawl. 

What did you do if your LO did this?

When DD first started sitting up AND standing up in her crib I would go in and rock her back to sleep.  After about a week of that I just let her CIO and she quickly figured out how to sit back down and go back to sleep.

We rock to sleep here because of this.  DD recently started to go to sleep on her own again, but I still like the snuggles so we rock.

CIO if you can handle it, otherwise you can go in there and help out, but that gets old fast. GL! Eventually LO will learn how to get back laying down.

Normally I just lay him back down. Now that he crawls he normally sits up, crawls around for a second and then will just fall asleep in some weird position that never looks comfortable.

I just go in and lay her back down, give her back her lovey, and quickly leave the room. She almost always goes to sleep after that.
