Our anatomy scan will be Friday which means that next weekend will be registry time. What items (other than cribs bedding and carseats) did you find doubles of helpful? TIA
I havent had my babies yet but based on experience, I think that haveing 2 bouncy seats that vibrate would be really helpful. My DD used hers alot and it freed me up to do other stuff. She loved it more than the swing that my MIL insisted on buying.
I have 2 Boppies (one upstairs, one downstairs), 2 bouncy seats, 2 high chairs... and that is about it for doubles. We have been fine with 1 swing, one jumperoo, one exersaucer. Oh, we also have 2 Bumbos, but I would say see if you can find them on Craiglist or something because they are so short-lived in their usefulness. I registered for extras of receiving blankets, burp cloths, and you will need extras of bath towels, and clothes, of course. Also, you will need a lot of bottles, but I didn't register for many because I didn't know what we would like. We started with the Playtex vent-aires, and ended up with the Dr. Brown's.
Good luck!

I totally agree with pp on not needing 2 of everything. We have 2 bouncies and 2 boppies - both are very useful. I don't use the boppies for bf, but we use them all the time as a "holding station". One baby hangs out in one while I change the other diaper, etc and they both like to lay in them just to hang out and watch me. Also register for extra swaddle me blankets and you will probably want 2 pnp if you plan on traveling. Our girls are 3 months old and already getting too big to share one.
we have two bouncy seats, but just one swing. Also only have one boppy. They don't really like sitting in them, but I use one as a holding station while I'm getting ready to tandem bf them. Besides high chairs, carseats and the obvious, that's pretty much it. we haven't bought a pnp yet and am still waiting to see if we'll really need one. Probably just will pick one up used since we likely won't be travelling a whole lot.

We had 2 papasan bouncers, 2 swings, 2 pack and plays, 2 high chairs, 2 crib soothers (fisher price aquarium), 3 boppies(2 upstairs and 1 downstairs), 2 bumbo seats
Honestly, except for the pack and plays, the aquariums and the high chairs, everything else was either borrowed or bought at a multiples sale or garage sale. We would never have bought all that stuff brand new. Two swings was a must for us. We actually had 2 downstairs and one travel swing upstairs in our bedroom. They didn't like that papasan bouncers, but once they were around 3 months old, they loved the FP rainforest bouncer that I bought at a garage sale. We only had one of those and that was totally fine. We used the bumbos for such a short period of time that I really don't think they were worth it. But, have 3 boppies was worth their weight in gold! We used the boppies ALL THE TIME!
It's so hard because all babies are different. Our boys hate their bouncy seat, but they love their swing. I had to go get another one at Target last week. We also have 2 Boppy pillows so I can feed them at the same time. We also have 2 cribs and 2 carseats. That's just about it for doubles for now.

this is a very personal question, since every baby is different. personally, i would get one of each item and then evaluate what you would like 2 of. I had 2 pnps and 2 swings - both were unnecessary for us. The only thing i we needed 2 were bumbo chairs and cribs. 1 swing, 1 bouncer, 1 jumperoo and 1 exercauser would have been totally adequate for us.

I think this sounds like a perfect plan! Tell me about your baby jogger. Do you like it? I am a runner myself (gosh I miss running, haven't run while pregnant but looking forward to hitting pavement postpartum. I definitely would like a good baby jogger that is sturday and easily maneuvered.

the jogging stroller was my splurge and i have to say, its been worth every penny. i run 30+ miles per week the babies and the stroller handles it great. its very comfortable, the kids love it.
its the BOB Ironman. a lot of my friends have the Revolution and they have no complaints about it. The Ironman is for longer distances, the Revolution can be more a day-to-day stroller.

2 boppies- one in the nursery, one downstairs. When they were 4ish months old, both downstairs on the main floor to practice sitting up, plain old pillow in nursery for nursing.
2 Bumbos- but only b/c they were awesome for feeding when they started solids.
3 bouncers- 2 in the master bathroom so I could shower, one on the main floor.
1 exersaucer, 1 jumperoo.
On the main floor I cycled them through the different toys- they had different preferences.
Oh and the swing I had was simply one by Graco that I could plunk a carseat in. This was a dream, my go to for 2-3 months, but not obtrusive, and very functional,
