Are you wearing maternity clothes?

I broke them out from my last pgy, they are so comfy, most don't fit just yet but they are so comfy!!!  How big is your bump and is it noticeable?

Re: Are you wearing maternity clothes?

  • I'm not in maternity yet, but I imagine I may have to switch over in 3-4 weeks. Hoping to make it through the warm weather of September with my shorts and then switch to maternity skirts/pants in October.

We'll see if I make it....I don't have much of a bump, but clothes are getting tight. By the evening hours I do have a noticeable bump for sure, probably due to bloat still though!

  • I am definitely in maternity clothes and have been for a couple of weeks. My bumo is noticeable in the morning and out of control by evening. I was using the band to wear my normal pants, but I just wanted to be comfortable. Thank goodness I bit the bullet and bought maternity stuff because I definitely popped.

  • I have been in maternity clothes for a couple of weeks for the same reason.  They're still big and roomy, but so darn comfortable.  I'm expecting twins ( and noticed you are the mom of twins, too).  My hubby says he can tell and I went to a wedding yesterday and people could tell I was pg.  I've only gained two pounds so far, but my body is changing.  I love the bump, but I hate these fat stores that are around my hips.  Happened with all my other pregnancies, too.  Yuck!
  • I have maternity pants but it has been so gosh darn hot, that I can't bring myself to wearing them.  I will wear the be-band and dresses until I can finally wear maternity clothes.  But the second the weather changes, maternity pants are coming on!!

  • I started wearing maternity jeans. I am hoping my nice pants for work can hold out for a couple more weeks, but that's iffy. I've had people the last couple of days commenting on how I'm showing!

This is me exactly!!!! I'm wearing my maternity jeans right now but a little roomy. I'm wearing the beband to help hold them up. It is still more comfy than my regular jeans with a beband.

Not too many coworkers know I'm pregnant yet. I have one who doesn't know that is going around asking other people if I'm pregnant or just getting fat. BUT she doesn't have the nerve to ask me this yet. So far, she has asked 3 people, all of who know I'm pregnant. They came back and told me and now I'm wondering who else she has asked! Embarrassed

  • I still fit in my regular clothes just fine but my scrubs are getting a little tight. I may have to break down and buy some new ones soon.

  • I haven't brought out the maternity stuff from storage yet.  Yesterday I kept buttoning and unbuttoning my jeans though, so I'm getting close.  Definitely more of a bump now and it was slightly noticable last weekend when wearing dresses at a wedding.   Been holding off b/c I was so happy to get OUT of the maternity clothes and just wearing dresses all summer.

As far as shirts I definitely don't feel a rush to wear those and found that regular tops that were longer looked a ton cuter anyways.

  • I've been using the be band, and I find I much prefer it to maternity pants. I'm about to buy some maternity shirts for work, mostly because I just need to buy new ones and might as well get them now.

I'm definitely not showing as I'm heavier in the mid section, but I'm starting to feel some changes going on.

  • I made the switch at around 11 weeks not because my other clothes didn't fit but because I felt that there snuggness made me have to pee more. Now I am running out of shirt options that hide my bump.
  • Not me. And I don't plan to until mid-October.

Some of my pants are tighter in the waist but not unbearable. My tummy is enormous but it's all bloat for me. I'm just over 12 weeks so my ute is still down low by the pelvic bone. I'm hoping to get a few weeks of relief from the bloat before the actual bump comes (don't anticipate actually showing a baby bump until 16-18w).
