I have always been a stomach sleeper. I am still early in my pregnancy but i'm trying to get in the habit of sleeping in other positions but i always wake up on my stomach.
i have been googling solutions and found these this thing. its pretty pricey but my sanity might be worth it. anyone bought this? or heard anything about it?

my husband thinks it will be great for guests after i get done with it.....
Re: Stomach Sleepers
the picture doesn't make it look very comfortable.. I don't think it looks long enough? During my last 2 pregnancies, I wanted one of those pregnancy massage tables with the cut-out in the middle for my belly to hang free (I think they make those.. but maybe I just made it up in a dream).
I'm definitely intrigued by this belly bed though. When my belly was too big to sleep on, my husband would lay on his back and I would lay on my stomach between his legs with my head resting on his tummy! lol sounds so embarrasing but it gave me some relief until my belly outgrew that position!!
that's a good idea. there is a video here to show how it works:

i searched for cheaper ones the other day and cant find it now. one was $150 but it didn't look as comfortable. here is a link to one i keep finding that they say is $40-50 dollars but all the links are from 2005. i think the business failed.

Interesting concept.
I have the Snoogle. It's good for sleeping on your side, but also... I curl it up like a donut, and I can lay on my belly because it makes a hole for it. Downside is you aren't laying flat. but I guess you could put pillows for under your head, and to make your legs level. I found that to be SUPER comfortable!!!
oh, ya - you'll be going at your mattress with a knife for sure if you're already thinking it! do it when you get big and post about how you like it!!
I totally wish I would've done that with my first pregnancy.. would have been so worth it after 3 pregnancies!
I'd like to add: you could save the mattress hole and replace it after you have the baby .. lol or just get a new mattress and save the one with the hole in it up in the rafters for future pregnancies. This is just sounding better and better.
so... I just told my husband that I'm going to be cutting out a hole in our mattress and he laughed and said, ummm I don't think it works like that.. there are springs and stuff that are all tied together.. it's not just like cutting out foam.. I said, well, we can try- we aren't going to let a few springs stop me from sleeping on my stomach! lol
well, I guess I need a tempurpedic now so I can cut out a hole! sigh.
This link looks like the updated site for the cheaper belly bed. I would be curious to see if the bed is helpful.

This. Don't worry if you end up on your stomach. Trust me, when it hurts, you'll know and you'll wake up and move. You won't squish your baby.
He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be. He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.
