Anyone use a diaper service?

I am considering cloth diapering LO and using a diaper service and was wondering if anyone has had personal experience with a diaper service.  The only one I could find in the Baltimore area is Modern Diaper Service.  Have any of you used them, or another service?  I'd love to hear about your experiences.

I didn't use them but I cloth diaper. I personally decided not to use them because you are restriced to the type of diapers you can use. Prefolds are great, but not so great getting DH (or anyone else) to help because even after 3 years and #2 on the way - he still can't figure them out.

Washing is not that big of a deal, really. Plus it costs a lot more - like I figured 300-400 yearly to use a service. I know people who have used them with no complaints, but ended up washing at home anyway.

I use them and wash at home.  I use Fuzzibunz and Flip.  They seem much more user friendly than prefolds.  Washing every 2nd or 3rd day takes no time at all.  10 minutes max to just restuff all the diapers and put them away.

I CD too and wash at home as well.  While I was a little apprehensive at first it is actually easy peasy to wash your CDs.

Ditto the previous posters- we CD & use a variety of diapers (including prefolds) but do the laundry ourselves.

A friend of mine used Modern Diaper service for the first 2 months with her first son and then bought all of her prefolds from them.  She had to buy her own snappis and I believe covers when she used MDS.  Also their prefolds aren't as absorbent as prefolds you would buy online like Green Mountain Diapers or Little Lions (she ended up getting some LL prefolds from a friend of ours and couldn't believe the difference.)

Thanks everyone for the replies.  I am not sure about whether I will be CDing or using sposies, or if I will use a service if I CD, but I wanted to hear your opinions.  I'm thinking about doing the two week trial from Jillian's Drawers.  There are lots of different options so I'm sure I'll find something that works!
