What to do/Not to do at first birthday party

DS has a few birthday parties between now and his birthday, and so I am taking mental notes to his can be a nice one.

I wrote about some of the stuff I saw here on my blog.

Anyone else have some good ideas for what to do or not to do? (Since 9-12 is also the first birthday party planning boardStick out tongue )

Re: What to do/Not to do at first birthday party

  • I can't wait until her first birthday...We're heavy in anxiety towards others right now, she'll cry if some people just say 'hello' to her so a birthday party is going to be lots of fun!  Stick out tongue

I'm planning on having it after her afternoon nap, maybe start it at around 4pm and only have it go on for a couple hours.  I'm not really sure what else we're going to do and it's not going to be a large party...family and a couple friends at most.

  • Thanks for the info!  I get that the bucket of ice and drinks was not a planned activity, but I just might use it as one at DD's b-day party this weekend!

if it was going to be hot for DS's party, I would totally consider doing it too, lol.
