DH had serious eye surgery today and is in really horrible pain. I don't want to ask him to give me my injection, but I'm a little scared, since he's done all my injections since the beginning. Tell me that its not that bad.

Re: oh no, I think I have to give my PIO shot to myself tonight
I'm assuming I'm way too late to chime in, but here goes anyway... I had to do them myself for three days while DH was away on business. It took a TON of psyching myself up, but it was not as bad as I expected. The needle goes in smoothly, but the oil takes some effort.
Our mirrors don't go down low enough in our bathrooms, so I did mine laying down on my side and twisting around to see. I found it was actually LESS painful to do it this way than to have DH do it -- I'm guessing because I had more control. I still went back to having him do it as soon as I could, though!
Hope it went okay for you!
It's not that bad. I was able to do it in my leg and my dr gave me a little bit smaller needle to use. I just used ice packs to numb it since I was terrified and it took a couple of tries but I got through it and I was so proud that I did.
You will do fine it just may take a but to get the courage up.

Totally not that bad! The fear was worse for me. I did (almost) all of my own and liked it MUCH better than when H did them.
GOOD LUCK!
