P / Computer ladies

Thought maybe you might be able to help?

My sister mentioned the other day that her headphone plug broke off inside the jack in her laptop.  She can no longer get any sound out of it b/c it thinks she still has headphones plugged in, even though she doesn't.  And she can't stick her headphones in to use either.

Any suggestions on how to get that piece out?  It's such a small hole.

Re: P / Computer ladies

  • that's a tough one.

The only thing to do is to take the chastis off to get to the motherboard and try to put it out.  That's scary for normal folk.  She needs to take it in.  If it can't be removed and she needs sound, she may have to get a new motherboard.

I would think that a good computer repair company would be able to fix this.
