Very faint BFP 10dpo and worried..

because I have been taking a "class c" antibiotic for the past 5 days and I am worried about what I have done to the baby. I am VERY early so I am hoping this has no affect. I have been googling like crazy and I am finding conflicting info. I have a call to my dr's office but just wanted to know if anyone has taken a potentially harmful drug before knowing they were pregnant? Was everything fine?

The day before I got my BFP with DS, I: drank heavily the night before, smoked almost a pack of cigarettes that night, got an x-ray taken at the dentist's office, and was on a Category C medication up until the day I got the BFP. Yeah, obviously we were not TTC at the time. I would like to state that DS appears relatively normal. : ) I'm sure you're fine, try not to stress.

Try not to worry.  Some people (like me!) had to take a category C drug even knowing they were pregnant.  There's nothing to say it IS dangerous, more than they don't know either way.  I'm sure you're fine

Thanks! I just got a call back form the doc's office and they said that everything is probably fine. Trying not to stress, what's done is done

I'd say you are fine.  How much longer are you supposed to take the antibiotic for?  2 days?  I'd even go as far as to keep taking it, but definitely let the Dr make that call.

There are conditions where people have to take category C drugs while pregnant, so it's not like you are taking a category X drug.

The day before I got my BFP with my daughter was the 2009 Superbowl.  I drank a whole bottle of wine and two beers to myself at a party.  DD is completely healthy.

Two nights before my BFP I drank half a fifth of vodka by myself and smoked like half a pack of cigarettes...so far everything is fine!  Of course since then I haven't smoked or drank at all...but yeah what is done is done, and I wouldn't worry too much about it!

I wouldn't worry too much. My sister in law told me this - and i don't know how much truth there is too it - but it made me feel better. She said that that early on the umbilical cord hadn't attached yet or something like that. So it's not like you're sharing anything with the baby yet....
