Getting services in public school?

DS is starting Kindergarten next week. How do I get him an evaluation for services? We have an orientation tomorrow. Should I request the eval tomorrow or wait until the first day? I don't want to be "that mom" and have them hating me right away, but know I have to get the ball rolling ASAP.

He was denied services in preschool, so I know that I have a hard fight ahead of me.

Any advice is appreciated.
