Martha Stewart detergent for CDs?

I asked this on the EFF board before I realized they have a CD board! I'm so observant ;)

We bought a bunch of these bottles at Home Depot on clearance and I'd love to use it for our CDs if we can. It's called Martha Stewart Clean detergent. It's free & clear. The first ingredient is water, the next three are mild cleansers, the fifth a chelator (have no idea what that is), and the sixth a thickening agent.

Here are the ingredients aside from water: sodium methyl 2-sulfolaurate, disodium 2-sulfolaurate, lauramidopropylamine oxide, tetrasodium iminodisuccinate, and hydroxyethylcellulose.

TIA!

Re: Martha Stewart detergent for CDs?

  • Sorry, I don't know anything about Martha Stewart detergent.  Personally, I wouldn't use it if I don't know for sure it's safe for cloth diapers.  I use this chart:

I currently use Country Save, and I have used RnG (but my baby was sensitive to it).

  • I read an article on apartment therapy where they rated a slew of natural laundry detergents (sorry, don't have the link).

All I remember is that method turned out to be the best, and Martha Stewart was by far the worst. Maybe that's why it's on clearance?
