Pays to complain?

I received a letter and survey from my high risk office for the visit with the Dr that I like. I filled it out and sent it in but felt like this would give a very positive view of their office. I wrote a detailed letter to the office manager about the visit with the MD who was a megab***h. I gave specific examples of what she did and discussed how this made me feel. Today I received a phone call from the office manager apologizing for that visit, asking if there was anything they could do, if I had questions. She said a letter would be put in my file saying I should only see the doctor that I like. I am extremely nonconfrontational so I was a little embarassed but knew if they really wanted feedback then they should get the whole picture from me! I just got a small flower arrangement from their office as well! I guess this is a lesson that sometimes putting time into giving feedback, even when negative, matters and people do care. I just hope my letter goes into her file and they talk to her about my experience. Hopefully she will be more compassionate to the women she sees from now on who have had losses...

  • I'm sure there is a huge weight taken off of your shoulders for having shared your experience with them. And you totally deserved the flowers!  If people like you don't take the time to explain then this doctor will never learn proper manners.
