NPR...Anyone use an airbrush for make-up?

I was thinking about getting one and was wondering if they're worth the $.  TIA.

I don't use one on myself, but the makeup artist I hired for my wedding used one on me.  It was pretty cool.  But, it looks like there might be a learning curve to using one, and it could be messy.  I'm not sure I'd buy one.
