I have a sea of lavender in Aubrey's room. I want to add color, but I seriously am drawing a blank. I don't know what color to paint the walls. I don't know what else to decorate with. It's a smaller room, with a double window. We have natural wood colored furniture (a changing table, crib, and small armoire).
Here are the items we have in there right now:
https://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/gingham-panel/?pkey=bwindow-panels (in lavender).
https://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/marissa-nursery-bedding/ (this is the crib bumper, in light lavender)
https://www.landofnod.com/family.aspx?c=1270&f=2966 (her name: Aubrey - I haven't found ribbon yet to hang it with)
I have a pink changing pad cover right now, but I would use a different color.
Any thoughts? So many of you are so talented. I'm one of those people that can't picture something on their own...I have to see a picture of something I like, and then it clicks! Ugh.
Re: Hi, my name's Kristin and I need nursery decorating help!
I always think purple and green look good together....and it's girly without being super pink or anything.
I'd paint the walls a sage green. Before I changed my idea for our nursery I had these prints picked out for a girl's room. There are 4 of them, I'd probably put them in a white frame or something
I would paint the walls green - we used "Rejuvenate" by Behr and it's a nice light green.
Here is a picture of our nursery - obviously not with lavender but you can get an idea of the color
We have rejuvinate in our kitchen. I was also going to suggest green. Sage green, white and lilac look beautiful together and if I am blessed with a girl, that is likely the color scheme I would go with too. Then you could use a lit green changing pad to bring in the other color. You could probably find little green baskets that you could keep stuff in. I also love eyelet! That would be a great addition to the room (and would be in keeping with the scalloped bed skirt).

And there is a section on the baby room bio (for the nursery board) with purple girls rooms (look on the left, there is also one for green girls rooms). I think these might help since you are visual.

Hi Kristin!
Nice to meet you! I was able to see almost all the products except the last two. They seem to be sold out or not available. Regardless I think the green suggested would look really good! Because you are visual like most women are, I highly suggest visiting the following sites to get inspiration from:
www.spearmintbaby.com
https://babyroombio.weebly.com/green--pink.html (except you will have purple instead of pink)
Hope that helps!

The orange, lime, lavender, yellow idea sounds pretty cool.
I personally really like pops of a bold color, so the lime sounds lovely. This could a fun inspiration palette.
Wow, thanks everyone! I've been through the baby room bio before (it's bookmarked on my computer....and for some reason wasn't finding any inspiration).
I'm thinking of heading to Homegoods because I've heard a lot of good things about that place. I think that I need to find a piece or two of artwork and go from there.
Thanks again!
