Okay, so I got a call today from my naturopath that took my blood on Saturday. (I had gone to see her as soon as I got a BFP on Fri). She has me on supplements to get my progesterone up and wanted to know if I got pregnant so she could see what it was.

 Anyway, I got the call today and they said my progesterone is at 5 and that I needed to get call my OBGYN and get in ASAP and have a vaginal progesterone given to me.

I don't currently have an OBGYN so I called a medical office that the naturopath recommended. They refused to take me because I wasn't 10-12 weeks pregnant! Are you freakin' kidding me? I was referred to you because I could lose this baby and you want me to wait 5 more weeks??? I don't think so! I immediately called another office and they couldn't believe what I was told and neither could my naturopath when I called to have my lab work faxed over.

 I was SO mad! Who runs an Women's Clinic and refuses to take a new patient??? Ugh. 

 So, that's my rant for tonight. I am praying really hard for a sticky baby!!!

 On the bright side, I have an appt tomorrow with a midwife and I hope she can help me!

That's ridiculous! What did they say when you explained why you needed to come in before that? Was it just like "Sorry, there's nothing we can do. :shrug:" How can they refuse high risk patients like that and still be in practice? I'm glad you found someone else and you can get that progesterone. Good luck and sticky baby vibes for you.

Yeah, she just said, "I'm sorry, we don't take patients unless they're 10-12 weeks." I told her I was just called by my naturopath and she said I needed to get in ASAP or I would lose the baby! And her response was, "I'm sorry, we don't take patients unless they're 10-12 weeks".

She's darn lucky I was on the phone cause I seriously wanted to punch her lights out!

I just researched signs of low progesterone too...spotting during the first few weeks, lower back pain and tender breasts. I definitely have spotting which isn't helping me relax much.

 Thankfully we haven't told anybody we're pregnant, just in case, but that sucks too because I can't tell anybody to pray for me....cause nobody knows Thankful for thebump!!!

Oh, and if you don't wanna punch that woman in the face, I will for you, I think that's terrible! I hate doctors that follow this or that instead of going by patient's needs.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing when I talked to her! And I agree. Doctors have their own agendas and it bugs the crap out of me!

That is awful! That's basically what the Naval Hospital told me when my husband was still in the Marines. I didn't have my first OB appt until 13wks but I went to the ER twice before that! I am high risk for multiple reasons and it blew my mind that they wouldn't see me sooner. I'm glad you got into see a midwife though I'll be praying for you!

It's scary how many incompetent doctors' offices there are out there.  GL.
