LOVE Scarlett. It's at the top of our list (will probably be the name we use, if we conceive a DD).

Scarlet Annalise is very pretty. Flows really well. The name makes me think of a very feminine but independent girl. I think of a beautiful, confident, glamorous woman as she gets older.

I agree with this!! Very pretty name!

In terms of what kind of person it makes me think of,  the name Scarlet to me sounds very ... melodramatic. Also, there was a Scarlett at a wedding I went to and everyone called her "Scar" as a nickname. That nickname really turned me off the name.

Annalise to me sounds like someone who is cultured and well-educated but down-to-earth and kind.

I too feel like it's a little melodramatic but DH loves it and it has really grown on me. The fact that her nn will be Scar does not sit well with me either. We are thinking of using in as a mn for these reasons. I love your (and the pp's) description of Annalise.. that is exactly the feel we are going for. Thank you for your honest opinions!

YAY!!!  Scarlet Annalise was a name I suggested for c*bear on here a week or two ago.  I LOVE It!  It was on the top of my MN list for Scarlet too.
