first midwife appointment

Had my first one today and heard baby's heartbeat at only 8wks, 4days (with the doppler)....ultrasound isn't until a few weeks down the road.  Midwife said this is the earliest she has ever heard a heartbeat with the doppler!  Was excited and had to share the news (because I haven't spread the word to my friends yet).  YAY!

That's great! I have my first mw appt. on the 8th and I will be 10 weeks. I have been wondering if they will be able to hear the hb that early. Your post is giving me hope!!!

Awesome news!! With my first we heard the hb at about 8.5 weeks also!  The OB was surprised too....
