1st apt today....anyone else had this happen?

So my hubby and I went to the dr this am hoping to hear a heartbeat, thinking I was 8 wks.  As it turns out, I must not be as far along as we saw a sack and egg but no heartbeat.  We aren't too worried, as my cycle was more of a 35 day cycle.  Now I am going back next Thurs to hear the heartbeat.  The good thing is she took like 8 viles of blood, so when we go back, hopefully the results will be in. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes - I gave him the date of my LMP, but I ovulate late so the timing was a little off.

This happened to me.  When I went for my first u/s I thought I was 7w3d.  We did see the heartbeat, but my RE said baby was measuring about a week to a week & 1/2 smaller than she expected.  She wasn't overly concerned, but we're going back Thursday to make sure things are progressing properly.

I am 11w6d and still didn't hear a HB today. My Dr. said he wasn't worried But i was scared to death! we did an ultrasound and the HB was going 186bpm so my little bean has a strong heartbeat!

We weren't able to hear the heartbeat until my 12 week appt.  The Dr. didn't even try at 8 weeks because she said it would be too faint to hear.  We did get to see it though.
