Hi gals,
My company offers no paid maternity leave. Not only that, our corporate office is located in MI and they don't know much, if anything, about how CA leave works so I am completely at the mercy of the state.
I've done my reading and research and see that I qualify for California State Disability Insurance and Paid Family Leave but it is still very confusing and I really need to get it all sorted.
Does anybody know of a place where they offer assistance for filing and letting you know your coverage, etc. ?? Or do you happen to be an expert in this area?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Maternity Leave - help!
yes, definitely call the EDD. What really helped me was just doing tons of internet research of what other California moms did to get the most out of their leave time.
Also... paid maternity leave is the thing of the past, my dear. Most companies dont do that anymore but there are a few. I have a girlfriend that had it, but its rare rare rare. GL!!!
