Good morning! DH and I were set on the Colgate Classica crib mattress but I was unexpectedly laid off last week (eek!) and now we are looking for suggestions for a good quality but less expensive mattress. TIA!

Sorry about your job not sure if you have your crib yet, but Walmart offers a bundle package with the crib & mattress. DH and I just purchased this one:
I would try to stay with a foam mattress. You have to lift the mattress out of the crib to change the sheets and when the mattress is at lowest level of crib, a coil mattress is really heavy to drag out!
