i really dont remember with dd what they did. i know it is with a nurse. i am guessing they wont do an ultrasound. that would bum me out b/c i have been soooo sick this pregnancy and i would love to see what all this sickness is doing for me-lol!

I think many of us are getting a vaginal ultrasound at the first visit to establish gestational age.  I didn't get that with my son (he's 11) but I think that many docs are doing that now.  I got one this go round, and saw the lil heartbeat.

My first appointment isn't until later in September, but they are doing an ultrasound and a full workup. Not sure what all that means, but I think a pap, breast check, etc. Normal annual exam stuff + pregnancy stuff. Fun!

my first appt was with a nurse practitioner and they did my yearly exam...a urine pregnancy test took some blood work and they also did do an ultrasound for dating purposes. I hope that you have one!! GL!!

oh me too!!!!! with my first, i had a different dr( we moved) and had 1-2 already by this point. i dont really remember, maybe 1. but being almost 9 weeks, it would be nice! txs

My first appt was just on Friday.

It consisted of:

Pap smear

Breast Exam

Urine sample

Blood test

Weight/Blood pressure

Some questions...

 My ultrasound is Sept the 2nd. I don't think it's the vaginal u/s because I have to drink 32 ounces of water before a certain time when I go!

I went on Friday for my first appointment. I'm 10 weeks and they did an u/s to make sure everything was okay. Here's to hoping you get one!
