car seat capabililty

As we build our baby registry, I know I need to make sure the toddler car seats are capable with our cars. Anyone have ideas on where to look to ensure it?

most car seats fit in most cars forward facing- rear facing not always if you have a smaller car and larger car seat.  You can just google your type of car and convertible car seats.  Best idea would be to actually go to a baby store that allows you to try them out in your car- that way you'd know for sure.  I've never heard of a Britax Roundabout NOT fitting rear facing in any car- you can always start there....
