Everyone keeps asking what do we want it to be? For the longest my F wanted to wait until the baby was born. He finally gave in and wanted to know the sex. We got the U/S and the tech said because of the 3 lines its a girl!!...Im excited whether its a boy or girl! I have done two baby registeries. Everytime im on the computer I look for cute girl things! I bet my F thinks im obsessed!...LOL!!

Re: Its a Girl!!
Congrats!!!
We just found out that we are having a girl too...the tech saw right away and said "yup, it's a girl, no dangle! Just the three lines". I cried...good tears but it made it all feel more real.
When the tech told me and my husband that we were having a little girl, we just looked at eachother shocked. I didn't say anything because I knew how much he thought he was going to have a little boy first. So we just enjoyed the moment watching her flip and turn around. Finally as we were leaving the u/s room my husband says "I'm going to have to get a shotgun". I love him!
BTW I love your name!!!
Seriously though, I've always thought Melanie was a good combination of not being over-used but people still recognizing it. Congratulations on your little girl!!!

Thanks! We chose that name from the beginning for a girl, then it was really hard to pick a middle name.
My F said the same thing when he found out it was a girl!
Congrats and welcome to the team!
When the tech told us it was a girl DH and I just looked at each other and laughed and said, DS#1 is going to be sooo happy! DS#1 was deadset that we were having a girl and he wouldn't even entertain the possibility that it might be another brother. :-D
Congrats and welcome to the team!
We got the shot right away when the tech put the wand on my belly and I thought I could tell it was a girl, but I was afraid to say anything or get too excited just in case I was wrong. The tech then looked at a few other things, then came back to the between-the-legs shot and asked us if we could tell the sex. DH blurted out, "yes, I think it's a girl". I was so happy that he at least thought the same thing as me! The tech then said "yup, it's a girl"!
We were (are) both really excited and started tearing up. Then we both remembered at the same time that I lost the bet. DH and I had a bet (I *knew* it was a boy, and he *knew* it was a girl) and whoever lost had to scratch the other person's back, legs, head, arms, etc. It's one of DH's favorite things, so he's the one that came up with it. I still have to pay up

Congratulations!
I was absolutely sure LO was a girl and DH and MIL both knew LO was a boy. So I told the u/s tech going in that he was going to settle it once and for all. I saw the manly bits before anyone else did and was like "Oh, it's a boy." DH was grinning from ear to ear for the rest of the day.
I remember I called my mom (who already has two grandsons and was hoping I was the savior lol) while we were waiting for our printouts and told her she's getting another one and there were these old people waiting for tests and they started cheering and clapping when they heard me tell mom. Which of course made DH cheese even harder. But once I got to look at the u/s pics over and over and over I immediately fell in love and now I can't wait for our little man to get here.
