Brand New to the Bump and Brand new to being pregnant :) Positive test yesterday!!!!!!!

 

Wondering how to put tickers and tags in your signature line?  Also wondering about other good pregnancy info sites, or if everyone thinks the bump is tops :)

    Haven't been to the doctor yet, so my due date is totally estimated by the day I think we conceived :) I've only been off my birth control for a month!  Didn't expect this quite so quickly!  We got lucky!

    Hi and welcome. I don't really think you're 2 weeks and 6 days pg though. Stick out tongue It starts from the date of your last period or 2 weeks before ovulation. You would have started your period 2 weeks and 6 days ago.

    I know how it's generally calculated, but I haven't had a period since December (because of the birth control I was using).  I stopped birth control July 27 and never got a period. I believe I conceived on August 8th. two positive tests yesterday... so I'm calculating my due date based on that until I see a doctor.  Thanks tho!

    No prob. I would personally add 2 weeks onto it to be closer to what you normally are, but that's just me. I didn't have periods either, but am sure when I conceived so I'm using that as my due date + 2 weeks which would be standard calculating. Your ticker though! Good luck at your first appt. I go next tues for a dating u/s and am so nervous.

    I don't know if I'm ready to move up from a poppyseed to an apple seed until I've been confirmed! lol! I'm just avoiding telling too many people!  People have wanted us to get pregnant for so long (i'm the oldest girl, and grand daughter)  I just wanna make sure it sticks!

    Lol, I hear ya. I finally made my ticker today and my embryo being a food item makes it seem so official now lol. I'm dying to tell, but we're waiting for the first u/s until we say anything. This will be the first baby in the family and we have anxious grandparents, great-grandparents, and aunts/uncles-to-be all waiting for us! They've been so supportive over the past 2 1/2 years that we've gone through that it's killing me. It just won't feel real until I see a heartbeat. My boobs are telling me it's real today though.

    My boobs are fine so long as i leave my bra on!!! the second i take it off and gravity sets in, they kill!
