I am looking for something fun and new to do, new playground, festival....something to do outdoors to enjoy the nice weather! any suggestions? we just went to the reston zoo yesterday for the first time and LOVED it!
We love both Clemyjontri and Frying Pan Park (and actually were at both this week). If you do go to Clemyjontri- get there early or it gets packed on the weekends and be prepared to park a bit away and walk. Also, for some reason it is hotter on the playground than anywhere else so it's really best in the AM.
Another great summer place is the Water Mine in Reston (near the zoo).
We will probably take advantage of the last few weekends at the pool this weekend. It will be sad when they close it for the season next weekend. Xander really loves swimming. Guess we will just have to visit the indoor pool again in the fall.
this is not necessarily a park recommendation, but tomorrow is Columbia Heights Day. I have never been, but I have heard rave reviews from those who have.
I plan to stay as far away from the craziness on the national mall as possible!
Re: what is everyone up to this weekend? it is going to be beautiful!
I've heard good things about Clemyjontri and Frying Pan Park but I've never been to either myself.

There's a wine festival in Rockville Town Square tomorrow which is pretty stroller friendly and there will be bands, food, wine, etc.
