Pregnant after IF

XP:Movement question at 17 weeks

It's been over 24 hours and I haven't felt either of the babies move today.  I'm fine, right?

I started feeling them move between 12-13 weeks, then more and more by 15 and all of a sudden today, NOTHING.  I tried some lemonade to get them moving, but again, nothing.

It's still early to feel them everyday, right?

  • Yeah, I think it's too early to be concerned.  Did you try to lay still and see if they'd get going?

  • I waited until I couldn't feel movement for about 4 straight days from one baby and then I called. Turns out they were stacked on top of one another and one has an anterior placenta. All was fine in there.

My doctor told me it's too early to feel consistent movement and actually know what's what, so I relaxed a little (not a lot, but a little!) HTH!

Ok, thank you, this makes me feel a bit better.

  • I didn't feel any movement at all until 19 weeks.  I didn't feel consistent movement until sometime in the mid 20-week range.

  • Don't worry too much.  I would go a day without feeling anything.  In fact, today they have been really quiet.  I think it has something to do with the fact that I was out late last night and am off schedule.  And where I was at last night was really loud.  So I think I tired them out!
