I've run chronic bladder infections since I was 3 months old. I used to get them once a month. Now that I'm almost 27 I haven't had one in 3 years.
The problem I'm having now is, if I don't drink a glass of water every hour or so my bladder/urethra starts burning.
I had a cystoscopy two years ago and all it showed was inflamed tissue. I've also Googled it and not much has come up.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, has your R.E. or GP been able to tell you why?
Re: Let's talk bladders...
I have a very similar situation. I had chronic bladder infections for most of my childhood and early adulthood. I recently developed symptoms similar to yours. I went to my GP and it turns out I did have a UTI, so I went on a week's worth of antibiotics. They helped, but I had some residual stinging/mild burning. She tested me again, said the infection went away, but that I could have developed some irritation/inflammation that is causing the stinging sensation, but that is all she could tell me.
Drinking water helps (like you said) and I have purchased some fragrance and dye free laundry soap that I started using to see if that helps with the irritation (I have no idea if it will, but I am trying to cover my bases).
