Ovidrel bruising?

Yesterday, I gave myself a shot of Ovidrel. It kinda hurt, but it wasn't bad.

I just changed my shirt and noticed I have a big purple bruise (like two inches) at the injection site! It is tender to the touch as well.

Did I do something wrong or does this happen sometimes? I did ten days of Gonal F shots and two other cycles with Ovidrel and never once bruised! What the heck.

    I tend to bruise a lot with my injections.. but I bruise easily anyways. :) If you apply some pressure to the injection site, after pulling out the needle, it should help prevent the bruising.

    Props to you for giving yourself the injections though.. I'm a wuss and my dh has to give them to me. :)
