Another 1st Appointment post

I had my confirmation appointment today and it was a bit frustrating. First, he basically told me at the beginning of the appointment that he doesn't like appointments this early even though when I called to schedule they specifically said they like to do a confirmation appoint as early as possible. Everything was fine but the appointment pretty much only included a urine test and lab slip for blood work. I knew there wouldn't be an ultrasound or anything, but I figured the he would discuss pregnancy in general like eating, exercise, what to expect at upcoming visits, family history, etc. He didn't even ask if I had any questions, I had to stop him before he walked out to ask him one. I felt rushed and completely forgot other questions I'd been meaning to ask.

I made my next appointment with my normal ob/gyn (this one was with someone else in the practice) so hopefully that will go smoothly and I can get my questions answered. Sorry I had to vent, I've been frustrated with doctors in general lately.

Sorry to hear the appointment was not a great one.... I was thinking "She should get another doctor!" and then read this was not your usual OB/GYN.  That is a relief!  I hope the next visit goes better. 

It is interesting - I find such differing levels of attention/detail/frequency of doctors and doctor visits by the Bumpies on here.

I felt pretty rushed in mine to be honest. I had the appt before I was pg, so it was very early...and I did a test there to confirm.  I don't even think the Dr said goodbye to me!  But I have my "real" first appt on 9/22 so we'll see what happens.
