Max and Matt

I love the name Max or Maxwell for baby #2, but my DHs name is Matt.  Are these names too similar sounding?

I keep imagining myself calling Max and Matt answers or vice versa.  I realize it's not that big of a deal but it's something I can't seem to get over.

My mother's name is Karen, and my sister is Carrie...so when my dad would call "Kar/Carr" they would both answer.  It wasn't really that annoying..not really a big deal, he would just say "no-other Kar".  I don't think it would be enough to talk me out of a name I loved..

I think they could sound similar, but if you're calling "Maxwell"instead of just "Max" it would be fine!

If you were talking about siblings, I wouldn't go w/ Max and Matt.  But father and son?  Eh, I dont' think they are too close.
