Cautiously here with a....BFP!!!!! (can someone help me?)

I'm thrilled but I think I tested too early.  The last time I tested was I think Friday morning---BFN.  Tested today with a digital and it said "pregnant".  But I have no idea how far along I really am. 

My cycles are generally 35ish days (sometimes longer).  We started to TTC around 8/7 and ended 8/12 or 8/13.  I think 8/12 was when I might have O'd though---my CM was way eggy than the week prior when it was just "wet" (sorry TMI)

So I've used like 10 different calculators to determine how far along and I just don't know.  Last period was 7/27.  But if I didn't conceive until around the 12th--that would only make me like 2 wks?  Is that even possible to test positive this early? 

I only tested b/c I thought I was due this week---but now I'm so nervous about a chemical pregnancy.  Ugh.  You'd think I'd be an expert having had a previous m/c and now a 2 yr old.  I feel like a newbie!  But I'm so excited.

I'm no help as far as the dating goes - my advice would be call your doc and see if you can get get an early ultrasound to try and date the pregnancy.

Go off last menstrual period unless you know for sure when you Oed (not just guessing - like you temped and are certain).

In the end, it doesn't really matter because your first ultrasound will determine your due date.

How early you get a BFP has no relationship to chemical pregnancy, as far as I know.

14dpo is = 4w pregnant.    If you O'd on the 12th, you'd be 12dpo today - so 3w5d pregnant.

You start counting from the last period so you O at approx. 2 weeks and you get a positive test around 4 weeks.  So you're a bit further along!!

Yay, Congrats! We were in 2ww together. And my LMP was 7/26. So I'm 4 weeks and 1 day. Just go by your LMP, and like PP said, they will date your pregnancy at your ultrasound. For now, just try to relax and be excited with your BFP. I also got BFN's when I tested 12DPO. Didn't get my BFP until Sunday, and Monday.

My cycles are usually around 24-28 days. I ovulated really early this month, but still didn't get a positive test until later.

I hope for sticky babies too. I've been spotting, and I have an appointment with my OB tomorrow. So we'll see.

Congrats! Even if you didn't O/conceive until the 12th, you'd still be 3 weeks 5 days by now because you're already considered 2 weeks along once conception occurs. But since there's no way to know you O'd that day, just go by the LMP for now and when you call your OB be sure to mention that you generally have long/irregular cycles. That way they'll know right off the bat that you need an early U/S to date the pregnancy (a couple of OBs I was considering don't do any early U/S unless this is needed).

You calculate it from your the first day of your last period.
