Baby Shower weekend of teachers convention?

Hi NJ Ladies,

We are looking at either the weekend of Halloween Sat 10/30 or the weekend of teachers convention 11/6 for a baby shower.  We think there may be parties and such for Halloween so we're leaning towards teachers convention.  We're wondering, do a lot of people go away for teachers convention?

My original plan was to have mine the weekend of teacher convention. However, my mom took over planning so I have no idea when they are doing it.  In my case, I don't know of many people who tend to go away that weekend.  Some people/teachers may go AC to spend the weekend, but usually my friends just do day trips there.  Also, usually if it's the full week off from school, that's when most teachers and people tend to go away.  Which in my district anyway, that only happens during a presidential election year (obviously not this one)
