A new contender for worst name

New baby at my daycare today.  Name?

Na'NaJa

I'm so not joking.  About the apostrophe or the random capital letters.

Near a more rough and tumble part of Dallas.  Bunking the naming trends, DS is the only Ethan.  However, we have DeMarques M. and DeMarques A.  Big Smile

  • FYI- You might not want to judge too harshly.  I think this has Muslim or African origin.  Though I agree with alot of the judgement of made up names on this board, I think people should be a little more conscious of other people's backgrounds and the possibility a strange name may have an interesting/ beautiful meaning in another culture.

ITA with you - there are lots of kids there with true, honest to goodness, "real" names from other ethic groups (ex: Liang, Hasset and DeMarques).  But there are also kids at this daycare named King (don't even get me started) and Konnor, so.....

  • When my niece was born there was a baby in the nursery named Nosmoking. Yes, you read correctly, No Smoking. I asked the nurse if that was really the baby's name and sure enough thats what it was. But it was to be pronouced Nosmo-King. I don't know what that mother was thinking but I feel bad for the kid. He's in for a lifetime of misprouncing and teasing.
  • Nosmo King is an urban legend. Unless you have proof.

    King...lol, it raps well. Smile
