Ha! I was just reading that from over on IF! WTF??? We live in silicon valley and are supposed to be the high tech gurus and yet none of our clinics make the top 25. You would think Stanford would make it at least.
Lame.
I feel pretty good about the success rates of some of our clinics though. I have my first IVF consult on thursday.

Lots of love and luck to my PAIF/3T/IF Veteran ladies, especially my dear friend Zookie. Congrats to Papps, Teach84 and Starbuck on their little ones.
Those are pretty good! All three are higher than the ones here in the bay area. That first one has an amazing rate! You should def. check them out if you ever need to move to IVF. (Which hopefully you won't.)

Good luck with your IVF consult!
I'm really toying with the idea of getting a consult at Nova. Their rate under 35 success rate is 42%. But their 35-37 year live birth rate is at 50%.
Btw - I think Stanford's numbers are low because they don't reject people with high FSH.

My consult on Thursday is with Zouves. He wrote a book and they were some of the pioneers with ICSI and with the MFI that part is super important to me.
Yes I think you are right about Standford and their rates are not as high because they accept everyone.

It has been determined if none of the IUI's work, we will not be able to afford anything else past this. Injectables are too much and same with IVF.
Why can't insurance cover this stuff?
I am sorry sweetie - it does suck how much $$$ is costs.
You should def. get on the meds list here if you aren't already. You might be able to get injectables from ladies who don't need them anymore. Some just donate or some sell them at a reduce costs. I was able to get mine for about half the normal price.
The cost of IVF overwhelms me too.

It does suck how expensive IVF is. And injectables aren't all that much cheaper either. I keep telling myself this: I would totally get a loan for a car and not worry about it too much. This is no different.

Oh, that might be an option. Once I get to this stage, I will definitely ask. Thank you!!

Seriously. Even the cost of the IUI's and meds adds up. That $$ could've been put into our down payment fund.

What!? Yours looks great, Papps. Check out some of the Nor Cal ones. Stanford is at 35% or something like that.
