if u used those cup things for af come in...

i'm interested to hear your stories about using those cups for af.  i have a feeling my body is now turning against tampons as well b/c i'm starting to feel irritation again down there so i'm afraid maybe another YI???  ugh.  i can't win.  so if you use those cups which brand do you buy and do you like them?

thanks!

  • I use Instead Cups and like them a lot.  I keep thinking I will buy a reusable one but haven't.  I'm not sure what size to buy, so I keep putting it off.  I have a lot of skin allergies and can't deal with any dyes, fragrances, bleach, etc. so tampons have never worked well for me.

  • I'm an Instead user myself.  Love them.

I won't be switching back to tampons any time soon.

They are pretty simple, just allow yourself a day at home to adjust.

this is me as well.  my skin reacts to everything and now i think it's disliking tampons too.  :o

i was thinking about buying the reusable "diva cups".

  • I love Instead.  Do you have a Whole Foods or Henry's by you?  I also use a German made tampon.  All natural, no dyes. etc. etc.  I can't remember the name.  Naturesomethingortherthingamajigger

i didn't even know they have organic tampons till today.  LOL  i think i might splurge and buy one of those reuseable cups.  they seem to have gotten great reviews on amazon.

  • I'm butting in over here (yes, I was lurking Embarrassed)  I have used a Diva cup for years...tampons just dry me out.  For the last year or so, though, I've developed a sore in my hoo ha.  I don't know if I changed shape (I've gained weight) or what it is, but as I've read some reviews a lot of people say the Diva cup is much longer than any other, also mine (and it's old - maybe the new has changed) has a tube at the end to grab and that's what the sore is from.  I just got a Lunette and it has a softer flatter stem so I'm hoping it resolves the issue.  I'm concerned b/c it is wider, and sometimes I have trouble urinating with it in b/c I think it must press my bladder, but we'll see.  I LOVE that I can wear it all day - rarely do I have to change it during the day and it's easy as long as you're near a sink to rinse.  I did try Instead, and they must not be shaped right for my body b/c I leak with them.  I hope you love yours!

sounds like for the most part your happy w/ it.  and hopefully your new cup will help the soreness.  i'm alittle worried about the length of the cup/stem and i'm hoping it's not too long.

I have a diva cup and really like it. I had "soreness" issues with the stem at first, but I trimmed it off completely and haven't had an issue since.
