HAD AN IUI DONE- GOT SOME ?'S

Hello,

I just signed up on this site. I was wondering if anyone else had an IUI (inter uteran insemination) done. I had one done on the 11th of this month and this Wednesday is the day I take a pregnancy test to see if it worked. However, I am kind of upset and worried because I have been cramping for 5 or 6 days now and I was told if it was implantation it would only last 2 or 3 days. My husband and I have had 2 ectopic and started seeing a fertility doctor so i'm hoping for good news as I don't know how well I will take it if i'm not pregnant. Can anyone share anything regarding my questions?

Welcome.

Lots of people on this board are doing IUIs.  Every person is different so no one can tell you if your cramping is implantation, just cramping or AF cramps.  Honestly I don't even think your RE should have told you implantation cramps only last 2-3 days, sure that may be the average but if you stick around her a while you will see that many of us are not average.  Really there is nothing you can do at this point but wait or POAS.  You are 12dpo so you could test tomorrow and get a fairly accurate result.

Also you may want to do an intro post with where you are in your IF journey, it helps people get to know you.

To do an intro, all you have to do is write another post, put Intro in the title, and let everyone know about your journey.

It is a great place with lots of answers for any questions you may have.  I like hearing about people's personal experiences when I have questions, so I find it especially helpful...

Also, if you are so lucky to get a BFP this cycle, please don't post it on here (use Pregnant after IF).  Many of us have to hear about enough BFPs in real life, and since we don't know you well yet, it may be hurtful/painful for some of us.  Many say you have to give support to give support, and that is definitely true here...

Thanks. The IUI did not take as I found out last night when I was crying in pain from the cramps from my period. I wanted to know if there was anywhere on this site for abbreviations. Idon't know all the abbreviations I keep getting in the post's I receive.
