I was at a BBQ this weekend where I only really knew 2 people. I was chatting w/ some of the friends of the host & come to find out they have an 8 month old that they concieved through IVF.
This woman was very open & honest about her experience, so I felt compelled to talk to her about ours. I found it easier opening up to a place full of strangers than it is my own family!
Anyway, she was really sweet & said something that really struck me. She said that when she talks about the details of IVF, the shots, side effects, etc. - it takes her a minute to remember the details - because once her little man arrived, it made all of the stress of IVF fade away to a dull memory.
It was so wonderful to hear - I hope that happens with me too. I know that once our LO is here it will all be worth it.
I just wanted to share with all you strong ladies.
