What do you and your S/O do for a living ?

TB has been so slow lately so i thought i'd ask a question to get to know you all a little better.

I'm a secondary ( 7-12) History teacher. Though we just moved for D.H job and there were no openings in this area, So right now I'm a SAHM and I love it. We had always planned for me to stay at home with our chidren until they started school.

DH works for the Department of Defense / Navy developing and improving weapons and tools like compasses and such for the military .... I understand next to nothing about his job lol.

I'm a SAHM to my almost 3yo DS and work part time at a locally owned toy store. 

DH is a post-doctoral researcher in Mechanical and Chemical Engineering and will be applying for faculty positions for next school year.

I work for the prosecuting attorney's office and my days are spent running back and forth to court and dealing with sometimes unbareable people.

My DH owns a landscaping company and also is thinking of starting another restaurant.  He likes to keep busy

I am a Project Research Associate for a clinical research organization and DH is a Chef but works as a director for a food service company. Right now he is based out of a large pharmaceutical company here in NJ.

I spent 10 years in phamaceutical/biotech IT.  Now, I am a SAHM to DS.  We're planning on me staying home until they at least go to school full days (1st grade). 

My DH is an attorney.

I'm a librarian at a state university who serves mainly non-traditional students (i.e. married, work full-time. have kids), military and distance learners. I also teach one class per semeter.

DH works for a company that fixes coin/money/deposit machines in banks, restaurants and gas stations.

I am a medical malpractice and personal injury paralegal. DH is a Revenue Recovery Specialist for our hospital...he is responsible for making sure that the insurance companies and medicare/medicaid pay.

I am an accounting manager at a research and private University.  We prepare the financial statements that would be the biggest thing we do.

DH manages a body shop and coaches football.  I had no idea how much time coaching takes up.  But he loves it.

I'm a PhD student in Health Policy & Management at Johns Hopkins.  I work part-time as a research assistant and teaching assistant.  I'll be SAHM (sort of working on dissertation) once LO is born for a little while.

DH works in finance as a Director of Fund Accounting/Investment Valuation.  I don't know all the details, but he basically leads of a group of accountants working on mutual fund investments.

I work PT for now at a large insurance company I have been with for 8 years. It's flexible and allows me to find a job no matter where we live since we move every 3 years.

Dh is a intelligence analyst for the Air Force. Yeah...I don't much about his job. classified stuff. But he goes to work at 8 and is home by 3. Must be nice!!!!

I am a high school chemistry teacher. I was a stay at home mom until two years ago so working full time while pg and with new baby is a way new thing for me. DH works in quality management.

I am an Interior Design Instructor at a local college. I will be a SAHM when the baby arrives. 

DH is a Project Manager for Disney Imagineering. He is currently managing the development of a resort in Shanghai, China and travels over there quite a bit.

I work full time in security, as a receptionist. And I'm a Military Police Officer in the NAtional Guard.

DH is military and teaches weapons systems to soldiers deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan.

I work in securtiy at Novartis. If thats the large pharma company your talkig about it's possible I have met him in passing!

I work PT for the Town as a Consevation Adminstrator and my DH is a hay farmer. lucky ofr us i only work 6 hours four days a week and since we are due in February he work is pretty slow. He also plows snow in the winter and works PT for the Highwat Dept. for the Town.

DH is a Project Manager/ Estimator/ Part owner of a large Mechanical Company. HE has a lot of "roles". lol..

I stay at home now and H is an IT analyst at a large hospital in our area. In October, he will be joining the family business as a funeral director (we will own 3) and I will be working in the office so we will be working together...we'll see how that works!

I worked advising fraternity/sorority life at a large public University for the past few years, but lost the job as they switched roles around and my supervisor decided he wanted a man for the fraternities.  It was devastating and infuriating, but we're moving on.  I'll be a SAHM for a while when LO arrives, which is a blessing for sure!  DH is in the horticulture industry: landscaping, nursery plant production, etc.

For now, we both work retail. He's in managements, and I'm a district employee. Once he's done with school, he'll be (most likely) working as an accountant and I'll be in nursing school. The waiting list to get in is ridiculous here, so I get to twiddle my thumbs for 3 years waiting to get in.

I am a 5th/6th grade looping teacher (meaning I teach the same class for 2 years) but after the baby is born I will become a SAHM and will remain one until our youngest child (we're thinking 2 or 3 kids) is in full day school then I'll go back.

My DH is a computer engineer at Microsoft... I also do not understand his job.

Yesssss, someone else! I'm a PhD student as well, and planning on staying one so I can be an SAHM in disguise for a few years. I do also teach a class a semester (in political science) at a university. My husband oversees the science program for the elementary of an international school -- 900 kids, pre-K through 5! Gotta love the academic schedule.

I am a marketing manager for Farm Bureau Insurance, and my husband is a Liquid Oxygen Rep for Hospitals...We also own a local Laundromat along with rental property.. So needless to say we are always on the go... I will continue to work after LO arrives(thank goodness for grandma's)

During the school year I work as a substitute teacher (I have my degree in Art Ed) and I also have my own business painting murals and other art related things.  My DH works at an Industrial Supplier as a project manager.  When baby comes along I'll stop subbing and just do my art business.

Mr. is the IT Project Manager for one of the main universities in Oklahoma. They want him to do Computer Forensics as well. I don't really get what all he'd be doing, but it sounds pretty effing cool.

we're both teachers. he teaches high school social studies and i teach elementary special education. we were in the same district for the past couple of years, but i just got hired in a new district.

We're both instructors at a power plant.  He works in particular on our training database and material development.  I am working on getting our program accredited (not quite what I had in mind with my degrees in engineering and political science).
