PIO injection or Prog Supp for FET?

For those who have done or are doing an FET.  Did you have to do PIO shots or progesterone supps?  Just curious what most people do.  I'm on day 5 of the shots and my butt is insanely sore and I'm already getting knots.  Boo to PIO!

    i'm on PIO (2cc's a day).  if i were willing to do supps i'd be on them too. my clinic uses a combo of both.  instead of supps i'm also on delestrogen injections every 3 days.

    it sucks but will all be worth it!

    try heating before and after and rub vigorously after each shot

    It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

    This is also my protocol, and I second the heat before, rub and then heat again after. Good luck!

    2cc's - is that the same as 2ml on the syringe?  I've been heating after but not before.  I will try heating before to see if that helps!

    My FET transfer is Friday, so I just started PIO today.  This first shot wasn't bad.  I did the sups for my fresh IVF cycle - I'm not sure why they switched me? 
    Lovey and I married Oct 2005 He's 34; I'm 33
    TTC since October 2007 DX: MFI
    #1 & #2: Fall 2009 - 2 rounds of Clomid - BFN's
    #3: April 2010: IVF w/ ICSI - BFP but then....blighted ovum, D&C 5/26/10
    #4: 8/27/10 - FET = BFN :(
    #5: FET #2 - 10/28/10, 2 embryos... BFN
    #6: IVF w/ ICSI & AH ER 3/5/2011; 6-day trx 2 blasts 3/11 BFP!!! HB @ 6weeks but it was gone a few days later. D&C 4/8/11
    #7: IVF w/ ICSI & AH ER 8/29/11; 6 day trx 2 blasts, BFP!! (3 totsicles too) HB seen at 7 weeks, but was gone at 8.5 weeks. D&C 10/14/11 HEARTBROKEN!!
    #8 FET - 4/6/12, 1 embryo.....

    i did pio the other times but now I'm doing supps.

    For fresh and FET cycles my RE does a combo of supps and PIO. 
    TTC since 8/2004
    Me - DX Hashimoto's Disease, Hypothyroid, Rheumatoid Arthritis
    DH - DX Azoospermia - Sertoli Cell Syndrome
    DS-IUI #1-4 BFN IVF #1 - BFP! It's a boy!!!

    I've used PIO for both fresh and will for this FET. It helped me in the past to hold the vial of of PIO in my bra for a few minutes before the shot to let it warm up a bit. Also, like Wormsie said, make sure to massage the area after!

    Yes, a cubic centimeter is the same a milliliter.

    I haven't done a FET, but for my IVF cycles, I have always done PIO.  I have been given the option of suppositories.  I hear that they are incredibly messy.  The thing about PIO that my RE likes is that they can get an accurate measure of your progesterone levels in your bloodwork.  So I have stuck with PIO - bruised butt and all!
