PSA: Sept 12 babies/kids photography workshop

I follow a number of photography blogs and there are two awesome pro photographers that are offering a workshop on Sept 12 in Frederick, MD on how to photograph your baby/kids. It looks like it's geared towards parents who want to be able to take better photos of their kids and I think this would be a great opportunity for those parents that want to learn more about photography.

I'm bummed that I can't go due to another commitment but I thought I would pass along the info since I know a number of questions come up on this board about photography. Here is the link with info on the workshop in case you are interested.

A little birdie told me that they are now booked up for this workshop and will be doing another one in Jan or Feb of next year. ;-)

Good to know there's another one in the works...gives me more time to talk my DH into letting me get a nicer camera.   Any beginner DSLR recs would be appreciated.

Most of the women on the photography board either have Nikons or Canons. The entry level for Nikons is the D40 (I think) and the entry level for Canon's is the Canon Rebel XS. From there, the options and prices go up. I opted for the Canon Rebel XS and I've been very happy with it. Here's a FAQ link from the photography board with info on cameras:
